Mountain Lodges

Vacations are sometimes the best part of the year for those who spend most of their year working or studying or both. As such vacations often call for escapes to distant locations described by exotic scenery, beautiful landscapes, quiet destinations or fun-filled ways of spending ones time.

The mountains are the primary vacation destination for more than half the population offering fresh air and a very good way to take advantage of the short few weeks of free time. Mountain resorts are very attractive to many and tourist numbers flourish all year round. Booking a hotel room at an establishment in the heart of the mountains is a requirement, but there are those who know a better solution: mountain lodges.

Mountain lodges are vacation rentals which provide a cheaper and more private accommodation for tourists. There are even those who own their own lodges in the mountain and keep coming back any time they can. Cabins and chalets are the most common types of mountain lodges.

The benefits of these establishments are many when it comes to comparing them with hotels. In the case of renting a mountain cabin or mountain chalet, the client gets all the benefits of home. They usually come furnished and fully equipped to meet all living needs that a visitor might have.

These lodges have the advantage of being more remote, which gives guests lots of peace and quiet. Mountain cabins or chalets offer privacy to those who own or rent them; they are generally set at bigger distances from each other. In many cases there are no restrictions regarding the number of people that can be in a house, which makes it possible to rent a lodge with family and friends for big gatherings.

In the summertime mountain cabins make great homes because of the cool and crisp air and the beautiful green of the wide open spaces surrounding them. In the winter mountain lodges offer the best protection from the snowy weather, while one is cuddled up next to the fire with loved ones.
